Why was this group formed?.
The groups was formed by a number of like minded individuals, who felt it was important to remember the young men and women who gave so much during World War II.
Between us we have over 80 years re-enacting experience and we run this group as a committee, so no single person is in charge. We do however have a chairman and vice chairman of the group, and each year we will hold a vote to see who gets these positions and together they will be responsible for booking our places at events and the general running of the group and commanding the lads within the group.
This is our hobby and we take pride in what we do. The biggest compliment and highest honour came from a 4th Welch veteran Mr Emrys Davies and Mr Dave Edwards of the 2nd Mons. While we were in Normandy on the 5th of June 2014 they both thanked us for what we do and for keeping the memory alive. These gentlemen spur us on and told us stories to pass on to future generations.

The group of people who are now in the group are dedicated historians, who treat each other like family and who want to keep the memory of the men who fought on D-Day and on throughout Europe alive and to also educate the youth of today of what happened during WW2.
Our aim is to re-enact the regular tommy soldier who landed on D-Day. We try our best to honour these men by wearing full battling kit in the correct way, as they would of 70+ years ago.
We do what we do to keep alive the memory of the brave people who fought and died in World War 2.

Below are pictures of the brave men of the South Wales Borderers who fought for a life as we know it!
We all honour these men, and men alike of the time period in WW2.
"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them."
